14th Annual Wreck Beach Butoh Performances
10 AM on July 4 and 10:45 AM on July 5, 2009
You are invited to experience the 14th Annual Kokoro Dance Wreck Beach Butoh Performances that will take place at the foot of the #4 Trail on Wreck Beach below the UBC Museum of Anthropology (follow the path just west of the entrance to the Museum). Clothing is optional on Wreck Beach. No photography or video is allowed. Donations gratefully accepted if you enjoy these unique performances and want to see them continue. The performances this year will have sixteen dancers on the world’s largest stage with costumes, lighting, and sound by Mother Nature. Performances are at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 4th and at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, July 5th. Allow fifteen to twenty minutes to get from parking down to the beach. Performances will take place rain or shine. Please keep the beach clean by taking whatever you bring with you back up the hill when you leave.
