Ascension (1994)

A sixty minute site specific work for the Great Hall of the Canadian Museum of Civilization in Hull, Québec performed by Jay Hirabayashi and Barbara Bourget, a tabla player (Niel Golden), and the fifty voice Ottawa Chamber Choir. Music by Robert J. Rosen. Lighting by Gerald King. Costumes by Tsuneko Kokubo. Set by Susan Madsen and Moe Fyson. This work was created over three separate residencies at the Museum and was also performed at the Canada Dance Festival.
